COLUMBIA - CATEDRALA ZIPAQUIRA - MUZEU SUBTERAN - SCULPTURI IN SARE SI MARMURA
ZIPAQUIRA, COLOMBIA - AUGUST 12: An interior view of the 180 Meters underground museum at the Zipaquira Cathedral on August 13, 2024 in Zipaquira, Colombia. This museum showcases 11 marble sculptures and 11 in salt, celebrating global multiculturalism. Twenty-two artists from five continents were given 30 days to create these pieces at the Zipaquira Salt Cathedral. The museum features two sections: one with sculptures and murals, and another interactive space with the ‘Teatrini,’ a cafe, and a gift shop. Sculptures explore themes of ‘Ancestry and Symbol,’ depicting concepts like love, hope, and motherhood. Visitors will see cultural and spiritual perspectives from around the world in marble and salt. The project, which started in early 2020, was delayed by the pandemic but has now opened to the public. Juancho Torres / Anadolu/ABACAPRESS.COM
