George Harrison's sitar soon to be sold at auction

Pictures must credit: Nate D. Sanders Auctions Beatle George Harrison's sitar, believed used to record the classic song Norwegian Wood has come up for sale and could fetch at least $25,000 USD / €23.440 euros. The complex Indian instrument deepened Harrison's involvement with the country’s music, culture and Hindu religion that would shape the rest of his life. He bought the sitar in London sometime in 1965 and used it to add colouring for Norwegian Wood , written by John Lennon for the band’s Rubber Soul album, in October that year. The sitar is being sold by US auction house Nate D.Sanders. Picture supplied by JLPPA
