INSULA PASTELUI - FESTIVAL

EASTER ISLAND, CHILE - FEBRUARY 18: A view of the sunrise over the pedestal of Ahu Tongariki, the largest ceremonial structure in Rapa Nui or also known as Easter Island, Chile on February 18, 2024. Thousands of people participated in the 56th edition of Tapati, the largest Polynesian festival that brings together a series of traditional culture and sports competitions on the island for 9 days. The “Tapati Rapa Nui” festival, which means “Rapa Nui week,” makes residents take a break from their usual activities to develop a colorful celebration that seeks to honor their ancestors and preserve their culture. This festival has become the island's biggest tourist attraction in summer due to its authenticity and historical background. Lucas Aguayo Araos / Anadolu
