February 23, 2021, Ceuta, Spain: A section of the perimeter fence that separates Spain from Morocco.Last December began the works of remodeling the fence of Ceuta, with which the controversial concertinas are replaced by metal tubular structures shaped like 'inverted combs'. According to the Ministry of the Interior, these works will take ten months to complete and will cost 18 million euros. The remodeling also includes the elevation of the fence in some sections up to ten meters, three more than those that currently exist, and a complex system of thermal surveillance cameras to detect possible approaches of sub-Saharan Africans from the Moroccan side.
