TO GO WITH AFP STORY "Thailand-health-disabled-environment,FEATURE" by Paul DAILING

In this picture taken on November 28, 2008 at a makeshift workshop in Nakorn Prathom, west of Bangkok, a member of the Prostheses Foundation of HRH the Princess Mother (L) adjusts a prosthesis on the leg of a man. Twelve-year-old Matoha Dosare was born with no right leg, but thanks to recycled drinks cans and some old stockings, he now has a new limb and new-found independence. He is one of thousands of people given artificial limbs by the Prostheses Foundation, which uses unique techniques and some salvaged materials to provide cheaply-made prosthetics to Thais who have nowhere else to go.
